Samsung Pushing into Healthcare Wearables

by Neil Mawston | 7月 18, 2019

Various rumors across the Web this week speculate Samsung has formally applied to the US FDA health authorities to add an ECG heart-monitoring feature to its future smartwatches in 2020.

This follows Apple integrating an ECG app into its Watch Series 4 and watchOS 5 portfolio during the second half of last year.

The race for the wearables healthcare prize is quietly starting to heat up.

Whether patients and hospitals will trust Apple or Samsung (or any other electronics brand) to become a "doctor on your wrist" remains to be seen. But that is where we are headed.
