Tariff changes in the Irish market

There were a number of changes across the board from Irish suppliers in recent weeks.

eMobile are now offering two iPhone specific plans. The first, the 'Select Smart Unlimited' plan, comes with unlimited minutes and texts to any network and unlimited data. The second, the 'Select 300' plan offers 300, any network , texts and minutes coupled with 3GB of data per month. Both options also offer unlimited free landline calls and a free iPhone, and are available on 24 month contract. Monthly rental varies from EUR 49.00 up to EUR 59.00 per month depending on the iPhone chosen. Prices quoted are for existing Eircom customers. Non Eircom customers will be charged an extra EUR 5.00 per month for each plan.

3 meanwhile are now offering their 'All You Can Eat Data' with their EUR 20.00 top up. Whilst not unlimited the plan does offer a 15GB allowance each month. Coupled with this customers can enjoy 3,000, on net, weekday minutes , 3,000,on net, weekend minutes and 3,000 any network texts.

Meteor are currently offering a number of free addons with their top up options. Customers can choose from, among others:

  • 5,000 any network texts
  • 5,000 any network minutes
  • 5,000 on-net minutes and texts

Top ups are available in EUR 5.00, EUR 10.00, EUR 20.00, and EUR 30.00 denominations and the bigger the top up the greater the choice of add on.

Finally O2 have replaced both their 'Advance' and 'Clear' plans with the new 'All In' plans. All come with free minutes, texts, and data up to a maximum of 900 minutes and texts and 700MB of data. Customers can then choose two free addons from the following options:

  • Unlimited texts to any network
  • Free landline calls
  • O2 to O2 calls
  • Evening/Weekend calls to any network

All plans are available over 12 and 18 month terms and are also available as a SIM and Microsim option.
