Netherlands - KPN refreshes postpaid tariffs with emphasis on data

by Josie Sephton | 9月 07, 2011

On 5th September, Dutch operator KPN revamped its Personal SIM pay montly tariffs. There is now a choice of three price plans with various allowances, all of which offer addons for voice calls, messaging and international calls to allow users to personalise their tariff. The bundle can be used for roaming calls and texts but not for international calls from the Netherlands to destinations abroad.

KPN's new Bel-SMS-Web price plans give data allowances from 100MB to 1750MB, whereas its Bel-SMS-WebXL plans offer higher data allowances of up to 2000MB as well as faster data speeds. The top-of-the-range plan offers 1500 units and 2000MB for EUR 152.50.

Vodafone Netherlands introduced new tariffs on 1 August. Vodafone's Bel+SMS+Smart 1200 plan has a monthly rental of EUR 150, for which users receive 1200 units, 2000MB and the opportunity to make calls, send messages and use the mobile internet in Vodafone Passport countries for a maximum of 60 days per year.
