vivo Ranked the Fourth Largest Smartphone Vendor by Revenue in Q4 2016

According to the latest report from our Wireless Smartphone Strategies (WSS) services: Value Share: Global Smartphone Revenue, ASP and Profit by Vendor by Price-Tier : Q4 2016, global smartphone revenue grew +9% YoY driven by increased shipment volumes.

Apple and Samsung combined took 63% global smartphone industry revenue this quarter, down from 67%. All 11 leading Chinese vendors together contributed to 25% revenue share in Q4 2016, up from 19% one year ago.

Among Chinese vendors, Huawei solidified No. 3 position. Another Chinese vendor vivo surpassed OPPO and ranked the fourth largest smartphone vendor by revenue this quarter, mainly driven by improved volumes and ASP.
