Fitnessbands Slump -40%

by Neil Mawston | 12月 07, 2022

Global fitnessband shipments slumped more than -40% YoY for the third consecutive quarter in Q3 2022. It was a terrible quarter.

Re-locking down in parts of China, as well as geopolitical and economic uncertainty amid spiking inflation, contributed to weak demand for basic bands across Asia and other parts of the world.

Consumers continue to trend away from fitnessbands and toward smartwatches, which offer more functionality at increasingly lower price-points.

Online sales channels remain one area of hope for the industry, which vendors like Xiaomi with its Mi Band portfolio are pushing hard.

Our report tracks global fitnessband volume and share by hardware vendor by quarter by region and can be viewed here.
