New research here from our WDE (Wearables) service shows Samsung's Tizen was the world's 2nd largest smartwatch platform by shipments and revenue during Q3 2020, overtaking Google Wear OS and Garmin Connect IQ in the process. The Tizen team have done a remarkable job to recover what many thought was a "dead" operating system. Smartwatch developers and consumers may need to rethink their perception of Tizen for 2021.
