Mobility management is an essential need for enterprise businesses today, having the right mobile infrastructure in place is critical, especially for large multi-national organizations that must navigate the complexities of global business operations. Calero showcased how they empower enterprises to manage their full mobility lifecycle, from centralized asset and expense management, to providing mobile support services globally.

Google helps make the password obsolete.  Google and the FIDO Alliance outlined what such a future may look like for Android users. Together, the organizations revealed that the Android operating system is now FIDO2 certified, which means that passwords could one day be fully eradicated in the mobile ecosystem. This can not only prevent eavesdropping and Man-in-The-Middle (MiTM) attacks but also remove what is often a weak point in online security services -- the possibility of passwords being brute-force attacked. Now that Android is FIDO2 certified, this paves the way for over a billion devices to implement passwordless authentication standards as long as they are operating on Android version 7.0 or above.

Consumers are driving digital transformation as they seek to enhance and simplify their lives, connecting with brands that deliver what they want at exactly the moment they need it. RCS Business Messaging enables consumers to interact with all of their brands in one place, their native Operator messaging app.  The GSMA’s Future Networks Programme and Interop Technologies ran a RCS Business Messaging Seminar today and they discussed the current state of play of RCS and the Business Messaging market; the results of live RCS campaigns; the commercial opportunities and market potential of this platform; and their strategic vision for RCS. The GSMA estimated that the user base for major IP messaging services had exceed four billion end of the 2017 and  RCS Business Messaging market will be worth an estimated USD$74 billion by 2021, representing a key revenue opportunity for MNOs.
