The drumbeat of rumors for a new Google Pixel Watch is getting louder.

A commercial launch may (or may not) be getting closer.

The Internet now claims:

1. It will carry a circular watchface, around 1-2 inches
2. Up to three models on sale, such as Pixel Fit, from May-June 2022
3. Retail cost will be higher-tier, around US$200-500 for the US
4. North America and Europe are the early markets
5. The software platform will be Wear OS 3
6. Some Fitbit features will be integrated to the hardware

So far so good. Ticking plenty of boxes for product design. Samsung, Garmin and others will be worried.

The challenge, of course, for Google, will be retail distribution. As we have seen with Pixel smartphones, the Pixel models are just not seen in enough stores or websites. Low availability means low sales. If Pixel Watch is only on sale thru a handful of channels, Google can expect to make only a handful of sales.
