According to Strategy Analytics’ latest research, global smartphone user base will grow +14% from 2022 to 2027, and the smartphone penetration rate will continue to increase during the forecast window.

The penetration growth is driven by the need from work/study from home in mature markets and the upgrade needs from feature users in emerging markets.

Africa and Middle East will enjoy the highest growth rate, followed by Asia Pacific and Central Eastern Europe. North America and Western Europe will maintain the leadership by penetration rate.
