Global Smartphone Shipment Predicted to Down -4% YoY in 2022

by Linda Sui | 6月 02, 2022

According to the latest published report from our WSS service: Global Smartphone Shipment Forecast by Vendor by Region by Quarter, global smartphone shipment volume will fall -4% YoY to 1.30 billion units.

We have lowered smartphone shipment forecast numbers for 2022 and 2023 amid the on-going Ukraine-Russia war, China's COVID disruption, as well as cloudy economy outlook.

Samsung and Apple expect to maintain the leadership with increased market share in 2022, while many Chinese vendors (Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo etc.) are facing strong headwinds in both home market and overseas. 2022 is a very challenging and tough year for Chinese brands indeed.
