On March 8th, 2022, Apple unveiled the latest update of its entry-level smartphone lineup – iPhone SE (2022).

The new device has practically the same body as its predecessor from 2020. With the circular home button underneath the 4.7-inch LCD display, and only a single camera at the back, the design brings a flashback to old times.

Despite its plain looks, iPhone SE (2022) packs significant power under the hood. The A15 Bionic chip is one of the most powerful in the industry, and together with the latest iOS 15, it will bring faster processing speeds and improvements to the camera features.

The inclusion of 5G connectivity in iPhone SE (2022) means that almost the entire portfolio of Apple smartphones is now 5G-enabled, which will only strengthen the company’s position as the top 5G smartphone vendor globally.

Apple increased the starting price of the new device by US$30 to US$429, compared to the previous two generations of the SE models. The higher price may have an impact on the sales of the new device.
