New research from our WSS (Smartphones) service shows 5% of German adult consumers today in 2022 have used a smartphone insurance policy to repair their lost, stolen or damaged smartphone.

This is interesting and good news for the emerging green smartphone industry. Because it suggests millions of German owners do not rush into throwing away their handset and simply demanding a new replacement. A decent chunk of people want to repair (not replace) their existing model and extend its lifetime for longer than normal. There is green hope!
