Android OS and iOS Continue to Dominate the Global Smartphone Installed Base Market in 2021

Strategy Analytics predicts that the global smartphone installed base will grow at 4.5% YoY in 2021 driven by economic recovery, eased pandemic situation, 5G migration, and availability of low-cost smartphones in emerging markets. Android OS (including Fuchsia OS) will continue to lead the global smartphone market both in terms of sales as well as installed base with approximately 84% market share. This is followed by iOS. The Huawei Harmony OS for smartphones is recently launched but under the current situation, the outlook looks a little risky.
