Q2’20: Vivo Scales up its Global Smartphone Share

Vivo minimized its losses in a COVID hit quarter. In Q2 2020, when the global smartphone shipments declined in double digits, Vivo was better off with a -3% decline. Detailed analysis available here, from the Wireless Smartphone Strategy (WSS) Service.

Vivo has an uphill task ahead, to scale up to be among the top three rankings globally. Its volumes and financials do show a declining trend. It is already facing an increasingly intense 5G segment. How does it go about in H2 2020 maximizing its current position?
