New research from our Smartphone Model Tracker (SMT) shows Samsung's famous Galaxy Z Flip 3 foldable is now the world's 8th bestselling smartphone model by revenue in Q4 2021.

To enter the top-10 is an impressive achievement from Samsung. It has a near-monopoly on the foldable smartphone market and has done more than any other brand to drive forward this new wave of product design.

Apple will be looking over its shoulder. Foldables are starting to challenge for the super-premium 5G segment. Indeed, Flip 3 is now equaling some iPhone 12 and 13 sub-models by revenue.
