Sharp Aquos Sense 4 is Japan's No.1 Android Phone Model

Few people realize Japan today is the world's third largest smartphone market by revenue. Bigger than India, Germany and many others. Japan delivers high value to device makers, component suppliers and operators.

Which Android model is the most popular in Japan?

The answer is Sharp's Aquos Sense 4, an LTE model with a 6-inch screen that is barely known outside its home market. The Sense 4 grabbed an impressive 4% share of the Japan smartphone market in Q2 2021. That is a lot for one device.
