by Juha Winter | 12月 15, 2016

Germany is Western Europe's second-largest smartphone market in volume terms, after the UK and ahead of France. Our extensive report, available to clients of our Smartphone Model Tracker (SMT) service, shows the top-50 bestselling smartphone models in Germany in the third quarter of 2016. It provides an added level of granularity and depth, building on our global view of the bestselling smartphone families and models. For those looking for even more detail as well as information on the price tiers and wholesale ASPs of top-selling smartphones globally, we've published the report Global Top-500 Smartphone Models by Shipments, ASP & Price-Tier: Q3 2016.

In the third quarter, Apple retook the top spots in the German smartphone market with both the iPhone 6s and iPhone SE continuing to sell well along with the brand new iPhone 7. Also not so surprisingly, Samsung's Galaxy S7 / S7 edge continue to rank high in the top-10 list of best-selling smartphones. Huawei is also a strong contender despite not quite making it near the top of the list.

The report is a valuable tool for component makers, device vendors, content suppliers, mobile operators, car manufacturers and other stakeholders who want to identify and measure the most-popular smartphones by individual model in one of Europe's largest smartphone markets.

Strategy Analytics' clients subscribing to the SMT service are invited to have a look at the report here.
