Samsung, Lenovo-Motorola Dominate Brazil's Smartphone Market in Q2 2016

by Juha Winter | 9月 14, 2016

Brazil is Central and Latin America's largest smartphone market, ahead of Mexico. Our extensive report, available to clients of our Smartphone Model Tracker (SMT) service, shows the top-50 bestselling smartphone models in Brazil in the second quarter of 2016. It provides an added level of granularity and depth, building on our global view of the bestselling smartphone families and models.

The Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016), the Apple iPhone 6s, and the Lenovo Vibe K5 were the "top-3" most popular smartphones in Brazil in Q2 2016. Looking at the top-10 list, however, one finds four models from Samsung, three from Lenovo-Motorola, two from Apple, and one from LG. The market remains fragmented with many different brands and models competing for market share.

The report is a valuable tool for component makers, device vendors, content suppliers, mobile operators, car manufacturers and other stakeholders who want to identify and measure the most-popular smartphones by individual model in Central and Latin America's largest smartphone market.
