Xiaomi refreshes its Redmi Note Series in India

Xiaomi launched the next iterates of its Redmi Note series, in the Indian smartphone market. Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro, target the mid and higher price bands and in sync with its efforts to scale up on the pricing. Xiaomi, has made the top slot in the Indian smartphone market its own and our recent report available here ,from the Smartphone Country Share Tracker (SCST) Service, confirms to its continued dominance in the country.

While Redmi Note 8 Pro is powered by Mediatek’s Helio G90T processor, Redmi Note 8 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 665. Both the smartphones feature a quad camera set up at the rear, with the Note 8 Pro getting 64 Mp and Note 8 a 48 Mp one.

Redmi Note 8 Pro has a very strong gaming connect to it. It also for the first time integrates Amazon’s ALEXA assistant into the Xiaomi smartphone portfolio.

With a steady refresh rate and strong portfolio of smartphones, we expect Xiaomi’s dominance to continue on in the Indian market in 2019.
