Q1’19: India Smartphone Market Grew by 1% YoY

The Indian Smartphone Market grew marginally, in the first quarter of 2019. In our most recent report, available here, from the Handset Country Share Tracker (HCST) Service, this growth adhered to cyclical trends. The first quarter is typically  the weakest in India on account of multiple factors.

Xiaomi, Samsung and Vivo took the top three positions in Q1 2019. Realme, for the second consecutive quarter in a row made it to the top five rankings in the country. Indian market is under a consolidation spree, with the top five steadily extending their domination quarter over quarter.
