Samsung Launches Galaxy M Series Phones in India

by Rajeev Nair | 1月 29, 2019

Samsung launched the Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M10 smartphones in India under the M series. They are dubbed as “India First” smartphones and targeted at the millennials. Samsung has been steadily losing its market share to Chinese vendors, led by Xiaomi. It was ranked second largest smartphone vendor in the country in Q4 2018, per our latest report available here from the Handset Country Share Tracker (HCST) Service.

The vendor in 2019 is set to transition to M series, as it phases out its Galaxy J series and other older models. Both Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M10 are first devices from Samsung to feature notch displays. Our Forecast on Notch Displays is available here.  Other stand out features include dual rear camera setups, face unlock. Both the devices would be online exclusive and would be made available via Amazon.in and Samsung India e-Store. The introductory offer is also extended to Reliance - Jio customers, who can avail “Double – Data” on purchasing the two smartphones.

Samsung has priced the two smartphones and their variants very aggressively with the wholesale prices as: Galaxy M10 (2/16): US$ 107, Galaxy M10 (3/32): US$ 120, Galaxy M20 (3/32): US$140 and Galaxy M20 (4/64): US$165.
