LG launched its next flagship under the V series, LG V40 ThinQ. The first of the device from the vendor to sport five cameras and would be key to how LG fares in the upcoming holiday season. The vendor handset shipments and market share has been on a steady decline, as its G Series flagship (G7 ThinQ) launched in H1 2018 met with limited success. Detailed analysis, available here.
LG V40 ThinQ would be available for retail in the US market from October 18 and takes on Samsung Galaxy Note 9, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR, in the premium segment. The 6.4 inch device runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. It has a triple camera setup at the back and dual cameras in the front. Cine shot mode allows the users to create Cinemagraphs using any of the three cameras. The finger print sensor at the back of the device doubles up as a power button.
