T-Mobile US is at the initial stage of
building and widening the nation-wide LTE network in the US, covering almost all the rural areas,
to support a wider spectrum across low band 600MHz frequency than other competitors, and it appears as of today that
LG V30 might be the only major flagship smartphone to support this new B71 band since launch.
As this implementation requires the additional H/W and S/W-wise resources on top of the compatible cellular component, LG may be able to enjoy this exclusivity until the end of this year as the newly-launched iPhone X and Galaxy Note 8, two of their strong competitors in the US market, seem not supporting this band (Band 71).
It might impact the smartphone vendor dynamics at T-Mobile US in at least Q4 2017, and LG may inch up their market share through T-Mobile in the final quarter of 2017.
