Q1’17: ‘Next Thirty’ Countries Accounted for 24% of Global Handsets

The emerging ‘Next 30’ countries combined took 24% of the global handset shipments in Q1’17. Per our latest report available here from the Handset Country Share Tracker (HCST) Service, Indonesia, Nigeria, Thailand, Pakistan and Vietnam were placed the top five in terms of shipments in the quarter.

Samsung led in 21 out of these next 30 countries. As with the global trends the Chinese vendors witnessed good growth in these markets.

The country coverage in this report include : Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Egypt, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Kenya, Malaysia, Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia , Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, Venezuela and Vietnam.
