To mark a decade old partnership with (RED), Apple today announced special edition of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in a vibrant red aluminium finish. The flagship iPhone 7 series contributed to 74% of the overall iPhones shipped in Q4 2016, per our latest report available here, from the Handset Country Share Tracker (HCST) Service.

The special edition products would be available from March 24th, 2017 both in the online and offline channels and would start shipping by the month end to more than 40 countries. iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus (PRODUCT) RED Special Edition would join the jet black, black, silver, gold and rose gold options that are already available to consumers. These would be made available in the 128 GB and 256 GB variants starting at a wholesale price of US$600.

Apple is expected to average a growth of over 7%, in the first three quarters of 2017, per the latest forecasts available by quarter and  by vendor (here), from our Wireless Smartphone Strategy (WSS) Service.
