Indonesia Finally Starts to Sell Apple iPhone 7 Devices.

by Woody Oh | 3月 20, 2017

Indonesia, one of the top 5 smartphone market by volume worldwide, is finally giving an official green light to Apple to sell the latest iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus devices in the country, by accepting the pre-orders from March 2017.

To be able to sell the premium-tier smartphones in Indonesia, they must meet the local government's stringent policy of having to utilize the local contents of at least 30% irrespective of either hardware or software or investment. It appears that Apple has recently satisfied this local policy by committing the huge R&D investment in this country over the next three years.

The in-detail analysis on this Indonesian regulation on the premium-tier smartphones can be viewed at this HCST insight report while the in-depth smartphone vendor share and volume in Indonesia can also be identified at this HCST metrics.
