Japanese FREETEL to Expand its Smartphone Market into Egypt

by Woody Oh | 2月 13, 2017

Freetel / Plus One Marketing based in Japan, one of the rising smartphone vendors in the recent months, has entered into Egypt smartphone market by collaborating with Unicom Group, a company based in Saudi Arabia, doing the IT businesses in AME (Africa & Middle East) countries including Egypt.

Given the current footprint of Unicom Group, it is estimated that Freetel will be extending into more AME countries in the next couple of months with affordably-priced smartphones between US$50 and US$200 in wholesale.

The in-detail smartphone volume and market share of vendors in Egypt and other emerging countries can be identified at this HCST report.
