According to the latest country tracker, Global Smartphone Vendor Market Share for 15 Countries for Q4 2016 report, just published under our Handset Country Share Tracker (HCST) service, Apple rose to the number one smartphone vendor in a record-high seven major countries including the US, UK, Japan and Germany.
This makes a tie with Samsung, which became no.1 smartphone vendor in also 7 countries during the quarter such as India, Brazil, Russia and South Korea.
Oppo, one of the rising star companies in the smartphone sector, rose to no.1 in China for the first time, surpassing Huawei and
Apple.
