Japanese FREETEL Ready to Sell Smartphones in AFRICA & MIDDlE EAST

by Woody Oh | 1月 16, 2017

Freetel, one of the local Japanese smartphone brands run by Plus One Marketing, is planning to expand its markets into around ten countries in AME (Africa & Middle East) from Q1 2017, and the countries may include UAE, Iran, Ghana, Jordan, South Africa, Egypt and Kuwait.

Given the income levels in each country, Freetel will be supplying affordable line-ups for most of African countries and the mixed smartphone line-up, from affordable to higher-priced smartphones, for middle-east countries.

Freetel is planning to increase the number of overseas markets into 30 countries by the end of 2018. The in-detail smartphone vendor share in Japan, Iran and South Africa can be identified at our HCST reports.
