Smartphone Shipments to India Grew by 14% in Q3 2016

Samsung skipped the global cues to grow and lead the Indian Smartphone market in Q3 2016. While Micromax too retained its second position, Lenovo – Motorola clawed back to the third place in rankings.

The Indian Smartphone Market grew by 14% annually and 10% sequentially in Q3 2016, per the latest report available here, from our Handset Country Share (HCST) Tracker Service. Chinese vendors continued to grow aggressively, with four of the top ten positions being taken up by them.
