Redmi Note 3 among the Top 3 Smartphones in India

by Rajeev Nair | 9月 27, 2016

Xiaomi shipped 2.3 million units of Redmi Note 3 by September since its launch in Q1 2016. The device was already among the top 3 smartphone models shipped in the Indian market in Q2 2016, per our latest report on stand out models in India, from the new Smartphone Model Tracker (SMT) Service.

Redmi Note 3, positioned in the mid-price tier, with a wholesale price of US$135, was one of the key reasons for the resurgence of Xiaomi in India in Q2 2016. The Chinese vendor was ranked the seventh largest in the Indian market in the quarter, per our last report on the country from the Handset Country Share Tracker (HCST) Service.

With the India gearing up for a festive season in October, the third quarter is expected to witness a substantial shipment boost for most smartphone vendors. This would be particularly true for vendors like Xiaomi, who are heavily dependent on the online channel.
