Samsung Dominates “Next 30” Countries Smartphone Market

The next 30 countries tracked constituted 20% of the overall smartphone market in Q2 2016. Samsung led in 28 of them in the quarter, except Bangladesh and Pakistan. It was the mid and entry priced devices that stood out for the vendor in these 30 countries, which included Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Egypt, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Kenya, Malaysia, Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, Venezuela and Vietnam.
