Are Rumored Samsung Galaxy C Series Smartphones for China?

by Woody Oh | 4月 22, 2016

It appears that Samsung is gearing up to launch the new Galaxy C branded smartphones, yet another lower-cost smartphone series in addition to A, J and E series, specifically for China smartphone market in the next few months.

While Samsung is expected to be showing a sign of rebounding its smartphone market share globally during Q1 2016, largely boosted by the robust sales of its latest Galaxy S7 edge, S7 and J series smartphones, we suspect that this biggest smartphone maker in the world is still struggling to regain its top position in China smartphone market, which we believe might be the primary reason to consider launching another premium-looking, but affordably-priced smartphone series, mostly customized for Chinese culture/people/usage/ecosystem, we conjecture.

The in-detail smartphone "model-wise" shipment and market share on a quarterly basis is checked at this report, published under our Handset Country Share Tracker (HCST) service.
