The Global Handset Wholesale (trade) Revenues declined by -1% in Q4 2015 and it was the first ever drop in the last 10 quarters. Apple led in all the 6 major regions, while Samsung lost ground in 4 of the 6 regions with annual declines. The duopoly of Apple and Samsung though is set to continue in 2016. In Q4 2015, we estimate them having captured more than 66% of the worldwide wholesale handset revenues.

Apart from the top vendors, most of the other players witnessed a revenue decline. More detailed analysis in our recent  report, from the Handset Country Share Tracker (HCST) service. The report is a vital tool for monitoring the financial health and handset pricing of leading brands such as Apple, Samsung, Huawei, Lenovo-Motorola, ZTE and others across different regions.
