Our Handset Country Share Tracker (HCST) service tracked the smartphone market competition during Q4 2015 in Russia, and led to the result that an Indian Micromax ranked one of top 5 smartphone vendor during the quarter for the first time ever.

Micromax was faced with the smartphone shipment decline QoQ in its home Indian market, pressured from Samsung and a long list of Chinese and Taiwanese vendors, but posted a corner-stone record in Russia with strong smartphone shipments of Bolt and Canvas series.
