It has been almost a year since YU Televentures under Micromax released Yureka, its first YU-series smartphone powered by Cyanogen OS, in India in January this year, and this time, we can expect to see the premium-featured YU smartphone, Yutopia, shipped before the end of this year.

Yutopia is said to come with many high-end features such as 2K display, 4GB DRAM, metallic design, fast charging and fingerprint scanner, priced for slightly below US$300 in wholesale.

According to our HCST model tracker, YU-series smartphones such as Yuphoria, Yureka and Yunique are gaining meaningful traction in Indian market based on its customizable operating system and affordable pricing, so the addition of the premium-looking Yutopia will help with more maket share growth in Indian market.
