Tizen Rides High on its India Success

by Rajeev Nair | 11月 30, 2015

Tizen jointly shared the second position with iOS in the Indian Smartphone OS market for Q3 2015 quarter. Its global rankings were driven primarily by the success in India, where it has focussed on the Entry and Mid-tier volume segments.

Samsung does understand that there is a long way to go for Tizen, in this Android dominated market and cannot rest back on its initial success. The challenger, to sustain this early momentum and build further in 2016, would be looking at a wider handset portfolio, more frequent launches and building a robust ecosystem of apps and services. Detailed analysis available, in our latest report from the Handset Country Share Tracker (HCST) service.
