Can Xiaomi Grow Smartphone Market Share in Brazil by Working with Vivo?

by Woody Oh | 11月 06, 2015

The smartphone vendor share report for 15 major countries including Brazil has tracked Xiaomi's share in Brazil during Q3 2015 to find that it is struggling to get its Redmi 2 devices sold to the Brazililan consumers due to the limited distributional channels. Xiaomi ended up with very tiny market share in Brazil during the quarter.

To get over the current limitations in distribution, Xiaomi has teamed up with Vivo from the end of September 2015, the biggest mobile operator in Brazil, to sell its Redmi 2 at the stores owned by Vivo. We expect Xiaomi to be able to increase its market presence as Vivo has influential corporate awareness in Brazil.

The in-detail data and analysis on how many smartphones Xiaomi shipped to Brazil and other countries in Q3 2015 can be identified at this link.
