The announcement of the new Apple flagships, iPhone 6S and 6S
Plus, along with other devices, accessories and services was very thrilling as usual, but Apple didn't comment on the plan of the long-rumored 4 inch device.
As the
Apple shipments by model tracker report, published by
Handset Country Share Tracker (HCST) service, is illustrating,
the ratio taken by under 4 inch devices such as iPhone 4S, 5C and 5S have been dramatically slowing down recent quarters as the demand for 4.7/5.5 inch devices are still robust through the world including the US and China.
While Apple will be able to meet the market needs for sub-4 inch device at relatively less-expensive price with its iPhone 5S for several months, this device is already two-year old one, so
consumers in the emering countries as well as developed market might ask for
a brand-new 4 inch iPhone based on the improved processor and better-looking material.
We are expecting Apple to launch the new 4 inch or similar-sized device sometime in "Q2 2016" as the second quarter of every year has been the weakest quarter for Apple while this vendor would need yet another 4 to 4.3 inch device to diversify their product portfolios, maximize their sales and meet the strong demands from clients who don't want to puchase 4.7/5.5 inch ones.
