Strategy Analytics reports that global foldable display smartphone shipments climbed high double digits in Q3 2022 amid global geopolitical and economic turbulence. New Galaxy Fold and Flip -series devices are the main reason for the explosive growth during Q3 2022.



Foldables are still a niche segment, but shipments are growing steadily. Samsung holds a commanding lead, followed by Huawei and Xiaomi. Asia Pacific accounted for over one third of foldable display smartphone shipments in Q3 2022.
