OnePlus next week looks set to launch its new
Nord 2 5G smartphone with enhanced AI and AR features.
Nord 2 5G blends a
MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI chipset with
upgraded AI services. For example, there should be crisper photos, quicker processing, faster gaming, and a richer viewing experience.
None of those upgrades will be a game-changer. But they do point to the
emerging 5G AI / AR ecosystem coming out of
China. The Chinese OEMs, like OnePlus, clearly see AI / AR as a chance to deliver "something different" for the future and to
attack the established leaders like Samsung or Apple.
Ignore them at your peril...
