TWS Headsets are Driving Skyrocketing Bluetooth Headset Sales

by Ken Hyers | 7月 14, 2020

The Bluetooth headset market is booming. Bluetooth headset sales have entered a new "golden era" that doesn't look set to end anytime soon. Unlike the last Bluetooth headset boom of the mid-00s (peaking in 2007) today's is driven not by demand for mono Bluetooth headsets. Instead, stereo Bluetooth headsets, in particular Totally Wireless (TWS) ones, are seeing skyrocketing sales.

The Bluetooth headset market is undergoing a renaissance and in 2017 first surpassed the old record set ten years before. Despite, and possible because of the current Covid-19 pandemic, 2020 will be another record breaking year for Bluetooth headset sales.  As more consumers work remotely, attending zoom meetings, taking calls and constantly juggling work life with other responsibilities in crowded home settings, Bluetooth headsets are becoming must-have accessories.

While Bluetooth headset unit sales volumes are going up, led by TWS headsets, prices for TWS headsets are falling rapidly, in part accounting for the booming unit sales. Despite this, Bluetooth headset sales revenues are climbing rapidly.
