Xiaomi this week revealed the world’s second biggest 5G smartphone with a huge 8-inch wraparound display. The clumsily named Mi Mix Alpha will launch in select countries before the end of the year. Pricing is ridiculous, at nearly US$3,000, but it showcases Xiaomi’s best tech and takes the premium fight to Huawei, Samsung and Apple.
