Apple Takes Peak Position in Both Volumes and Revenues in LTE Handsets Q4 2017

Strategy Analytics has published a new report looking at the performance of LTE handsets in Q4 2017 as well as whole year 2017.

Global LTE handset industry shipments declined -1.4% annually during Q4 2017. Due strong performance of the premium tier devices,  revenues grew 12% YoY.

Apple continued to be the world's largest 4G handset vendor by revenue, and rose also to peak position in volumes. Chinese brands Huawei, Xiaomi, Vivo and OPPO continue to be permanent members of the top-10 vendor rankings, with surging LTE volumes.

ASP continues to decline as LTE penetrates to lower price tiers and feature phones.
