by Ken Hyers | 4月 13, 2017

DJI, the industry leader by volume in camera drones, has introduced a new version of its flagship Phantom camera drone, the Phantom 4 Advanced. The Phantom 4 Advanced sits in between its consumer-grade Phantom 4 and its Phantom 4 Pro for prosumers and professional photographers. Demand for drones continues to increase, with Strategy Analytics forecasting 72% annual global growth for the segment in 2017.

The introduction of this newest drone from DJI follows a pattern for the company, of introducing a consumer grade and professional grade version of its flagship UAV, followed six months later by an in-between-grade version of the aircraft.

Strategy Analytics tracks the consumer and professional drone segment in its Emerging Device Strategies research service. Its latest report, Drones: Total Global Consumer & Enterprise Drone Shipments by Region: 2015 - 2022, which clients can access here.
