ZTE Needs Market Diversification for Volume Growth

ZTE’s handset shipments declined by -2% YoY in Q3 2016. Detailed analysis available here from our Emerging Device Strategy (EDS) Service, though confirms to a steady growth of financials during the quarter.

ZTE needs to diversify beyond its traditionally strong markets, for the next level of volume growth. It at the same time also needs to maintain a fine balance of growth in volume and scaling up its brand perception. The above approach would help it to expand its strategic options.
