The global Bluetooth headsets market continues to maintain healthy growth and will be worth
more than $40 billion wholesale in 2022. Global Bluetooth headset revenues will grow 24% in 2022, driven by TWS headsets but also banded headsets.
Bluetooth headset sales are closely associated with smartphone sales, due in part to the removal of 3.5mm headphone jacks from most higher end models. At the same time, the coronavirus epidemic and work-from-home led many users to purchase or upgrade their headphones for work and entertainment.
Revenue growth is fastest in the stereo Entry- and Mid-tier segments. The in-ear segment (tethered and TWS) has grown past banded and takes most revenues in 2022. Geographically, North America has the highest ASPs, Asia Pacific is driving the most revenues and Africa and the Middle East are seeing the fast revenue growth in 2022. Bluetooth headsets are truly a global phenomena.
