Report Summary:

Consumers are becoming less social in person by becoming more virtually social-fueled by advanced messaging features. Achieved through pre-installed RCS platforms and self-installed 3rd party messaging apps, these platforms can provide a more enhanced, expressive, and compelling messaging experience for the sender; but are proving lackluster for the recipient.  RCS standards are in place to override this, but not everyone is abiding by them. 

This report presents Strategy Analytics’ User Experience Strategies observational research into the emerging behaviors, needs, and pain points of consumers regarding use of advanced messaging platforms.  Based on this research, recommendations are provided for delivering the optimal messaging experience.
