Pokémon Go and Snapchat have been the epitome of augmented reality for the masses, though many users are still unaware of the AR technology and further use cases available to them. What is driving them are familiar sources like these, including Star Wars and Google. In order to drive further awareness, not only will solid use cases need to be developed to inform and entertain users, but developing from within existing apps – not outside – will help drive awareness and usage.
This report presents Strategy Analytics’ User Experience Strategies observational research into the emerging behaviors, needs, and expectations of future augmented reality users. Based on this research, recommendations are provided for delivering the most compelling AR experience.
