OECD Mobile Voice and Data Price Benchmarking Q1 2020 update:

Note: The service has now changed its name from OECD Mobile Voice Price Benchmarking to OECD Mobile Voice and Data Price Benchmarking.

The Q1 2020 update of the OECD Mobile Voice and Data Price Benchmarking service is now available for download. For a low to medium residential user (making 100 calls a month totalling just over 188 minutes, and with a 2GB mobile data requirement and 140 text messages), the Boost Pre-paid Anytime Plus tariff from Telstra in Australia, comes in as the cheapest at just under USD PPP 8 per month, and with almost 7GB data. This is followed the Comviq fastpris Mini 3GB from Tele2 in Sweden and the PILDYK Sets 4GB tariff again from Tele2, but in Lithuania, both at just under USD PPP 10/month. Most expensive , and almost 7 times the cost of the Telstra offer, is Verizon, with a prepaid plan for smartphones, while second most expensive is the Gigalight 1 GB plan with data add-on from NTT DoCoMo in Japan.

In addition to the 36 OECD countries plus Colombia,, Brazil has also been included for this update, with coverage of three Brazilian operators, Vivo Brazil, Claro and TIM.

The February 2020 update for Mobile Voice and Data service incorporates the OECD 2017 baskets, which are shown in the table below.
